As an experienced school-based SLP, I understand the unique challenges educators face when supporting students with speech, language, and literacy needs. I work in partnership with schools to deliver high-quality therapy that aligns with classroom learning and helps students build lasting skills to set them up for sustained academic success.

My focus is on preschool and elementary-aged children, and I offer support in the following areas:

  • Articulation and speech sound development

  • Receptive and expressive language

  • Fluency (stuttering)

  • Phonological awareness

  • Literacy, including early reading, reading comprehension, and written expression

How I Work with Schools

  • On-site services: Therapy sessions take place onsite during the school day, minimizing disruption for students and staff.

  • Collaboration with teachers: I coordinate closely with classroom educators to support carryover of skills and classroom success.

  • Clear communication: I provide updates and documentation that keep school teams and families informed.

  • Flexible scheduling: I work with schools to find a rhythm that fits their needs and priorities.

Government Funding Options

Most of my caseload is private-pay, but for students with more significant speech needs, schools may be able to access support through External link opens in new tab or windowOntario Health at Home’s School Health Support Services (SHSS) program. Schools can initiate referrals for eligible students. Once approved, I can complete assessments and apply for a limited block of therapy sessions, fully funded by the province. I’m happy to work with school teams through this process when appropriate.
