-
Therapy sessions: $160 per 1-hour session
Shorter sessions may be pro-rated based on your child’s needs and attention span. -
Assessments: Flat rate of $300–$700, depending on complexity, age of the child, and type of assessment
I am a private-pay provider. While I do not bill insurance directly, I’m happy to provide detailed receipts and documentation for families seeking reimbursement. Most major insurance plans include coverage for speech-language therapy, but coverage varies. I recommend contacting your provider to confirm your plan’s eligibility requirements.
Government Funding Options
Some children with significant speech needs may be eligible for publicly-funded support through Ontario Health at Home’s School Health Support Services (SHSS) program. If your child qualifies, their school can initiate the referral process. Once approved, I can complete the assessment and provide a limited number of therapy sessions funded by the Province. I am happy to discuss in further detail if you think your child may be eligible.
How It Works
Step 1: Referral
Your child’s teacher notices a need and shares my contact information with you.
Step 2: Free Consultation
We schedule a brief phone call to discuss your concerns, answer questions, and determine next steps.
Step 3: Consent
You complete a consent form before any evaluation or therapy begins.
Step 4: Assessment
If needed, I conduct an evaluation to better understand your child’s communication profile and establish personalized goals for therapy.
Step 5: Therapy at School
Sessions take place during the school day in close coordination with your child’s teacher.
After each session, you’ll receive a brief written summary outlining your child’s progress, along with targeted home practice activities to reinforce their skills.
